Description

Over the day, oil, sunscreen, make-up and pollution build up on skin. A regular cleanser cannot fully remove these layers, so skin is never truly clean. precleanse melts them away so your main cleanser can do its job properly.

On dry skin the oil dissolves make-up and sebum, then turns into a light, milky emulsion with water and rinses clean. Apricot Kernel, Kukui Nut, Borage, Rice Bran and Sunflower oils nourish skin, while Vitamin E adds antioxidant protection. Ideal even for oily skin.

How to use

Dispense into dry hands.
Massage over dry face and eyes, focusing on areas of congestion or heavy make-up.
Wet your hands and keep massaging until the oil turns into a light, milky emulsion.
Rinse with lukewarm water, then follow with your main cleanser.

What's recyclable: The carton paper is recyclable and comes from FSC certified, responsibly managed forests. The bottle and pump are not recyclable yet, but Dermalogica is working on it.

Why an oil for oily skin?

Oil dissolves oil. precleanse melts away excess sebum and debris in pores and rinses off completely with water, so it does not clog pores.

Does it remove eye make-up?

Yes, including waterproof mascara. Massage gently over closed eyes and rinse thoroughly.

Why apply with dry hands?

On dry skin the oil dissolves make-up and sebum more effectively. Water is added only at the end to emulsify and rinse.

Do I still need a cleanser after precleanse?

Yes. precleanse removes the surface layers, and your main cleanser cleans the skin itself. Together, the Double Cleanse leaves skin truly clean.

Can I use it in the morning?

It is mainly for evenings, to remove make-up and sunscreen. If your skin is oily, you can use it in the morning too.
