The skin barrier takes on three essential jobs:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u2022 It helps protect your body from external stressors (like pollution and UV radiation).<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u2022 It retains water, which helps keep your skin hydrated.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u2022 It transports nutrients to your skin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 24pt;\"><strong>How do you know whether your skin barrier is healthy or not?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If your skin is hydrated, plump, and smooth, you likely have a healthy skin barrier.
